IMT opened in West Chester, Pennsylvania in 1964, and moved to Wilmington, Delaware in 1984. Today, IMT offers a broad range of heat treating processes and capabilities:
- Our stress-relieving capabilities are among the best on the eastern seaboard. Our largest car-bottom furnace can handle jobs up to 22 feet long, at temperatures up to 2,300 ºF.
- Multiple integral quench continuous batch furnace batteries can process high volumes in controlled atmospheres, with temper capacity to match.
- We offer such specialized processes as induction and vacuum heat treating, carburizing and nitriding, aluminum heat treating, and more.
- In our 35,000 sf production facility, we have excellent overhead lift capacity, as well as finishing, straightening, and other related capabilities.
